Getting out of my own way

I find that I'm often too clever for my own good. When my soul is motivated towards a simple goal, my ego often jumps in and complicates the process, trying to make the effort more "useful" and "productive." Frequently the action is abandoned, or the soul's original goal gets left out of the bargain.
